Body Armor Protective Levels

The NIJ (National Institute of Justice) ballistic resistance standard classifies body armor by levels of ballistic performance. In order for products to be classified at bulletproof, the NIJ's standard requires that the bullet not perforate the insert, panel or vest and offers blunt trauma protection.
