FAQ's - Ballistic Protection

What are your shipping rates?- We offer free standard shipping on all orders shipped to addresses within the contiguous United States. For orders shipped to non-contiguous states (Hawaii and Alaska), there is a $25 flat shipping fee. For international orders, there is a $40 flat shipping fee.

Do you ship internationally?- Yes. Shipping Level III and IV plates outside the United States requires a U.S. State Department export permit which can take up to 2 months to obtain. Level IIA, Level II, and Level IIIA products generally do not require a Bureau of Industry & Security export license to most countries. Consult your own government to check on body armor regulations in your country including estimated import duties and taxes.

How long will it take for my order to ship?- Please allow 14-21 business days. A majority of our products are custom-made at the time you place your order and must pass rigorous quality assurance analyses conducted by professional seamstresses before they leave our facility. Anti-ballistic materials (whether purchased from us or any other company) have an industry standard expiration of 5 years, and we strive to preserve our product’s longevity by following a ‘made to order’ production approach. We pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality products to our customers, and appreciate your understanding.

Do you offer expedited or overnight shipping?- Due to the unique nature of the products we sell, we generally do not offer expedited or overnight shipping.

PRODUCTS

Why do you use the term “bulletproof”?- “Bulletproof” is a common term that is well-known and researched by the civilian market. One of our primary goals is to educate our customers about the limitations of NIJ standards and ballistic materials. Our products are NIJ Threat Level 3A. Although the professional community avoids the use of “bulletproof”, the definition fits our products to the NIJ Threat Level 3A standards.

Are your bulletproof clothes comfortable? Easily concealed?- Most of the bulletproof panels used in our clothing only add an extra 4-5 pounds of weight which allows for optimal concealment. When fitted properly, our products are comfortable and mobile. Our Gabriel BBL Level 3A vest is made with flexible, moisture wicking fabric that is ideal for even the warmest weather. Please keep in mind that the concealment depends on body type, clothing material, and properly fitted body armor.

How do I use my bulletproof backpack, bag, or briefcase?- Hold the bag between yourself and the threat using the straps as handles. Use it as a shield to provide cover for your upper torso (vital organs). While taking shelter, use the bag to protect yourself by continuing to hold it in the direction of the threat. If running away, hold bag high on your back or in the direction of the threat to protect your head and upper torso (vital organs).

What are the measurement specifications of your products?- The panels used in BulletBlocker backpacks, bags, briefcases, or inserts weigh approximately 20 ounces. The panels used in our bulletproof clothing weigh 4-5 pounds on average, but the weight of custom clothing varies depending on sizing. Please see that specific weight and dimension measurements of each individual item are included on the product’s page.

Can I order a customized panel?- Yes. Our bulletproof panels can be produced in virtually any shape or size, and our inserts are available for purchase to fit a majority of pre-owned tactical bags, backpacks, compartments, and more. In most situations, you can measure or make a template of the insert size and send it to us, or you can send us your bag and we will custom craft an insert for you. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your custom project or needs.

Can I bring my bulletproof item on an airplane?- Yes. The US transportation Security Administration does not prohibit any Bullet Blocker product or body armor.

Are the sleeves of your clothing products bulletproof?- No. However, we have the ability to customize most items, so feel free to contact us to discuss your specific needs.

How do I know what size to order?- Please refer to the sizing/measurement instructions for each item on the product’s page. For the best fit, please order your true size. The ballistic materials we use are thin and flexible, so there is no need to size up. If you have any questions or concerns with sizing, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I clean my bulletproof product?- Most panels are removable except for items with sewn in panels (Guardian backpack, Everyday backpack, Pistol Case, Notebooks, and the Laptop Case). Remove the bulletproof panels and clean it with a damp cloth. All clothing can be cleaned per the instructional tag once the panels are removed.

Are your products stab resistant?- All bulletproof panels are inherently stab resistant, but they are not tested to meet any resistance standards so cannot be listed as such.

Do your products protect against rifle rounds?- Rifle rounds require Level III or greater. Doubling up two (2) Level IIIA will not stop a rifle projectile!

Can I test shoot my product?- No. If you have any questions or concerns about your product, please contact us immediately.

How flexible are the bullet proof panels?- They are roughly as flexible as a rubber mouse pad.

RETURN POLICY

Refund and Return Policies:At Diamondback Armor USA llc -Kincorner.com, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your product(s), you may return the item(s) to us in the condition in which it which it was shipped to you and we will exchange or refund your purchase. Returns must be returned within 30 days of the ship date received, be accompanied by the original sales invoice, and include a Return Authorization Number (RAN). If you wish to make a return, contact us by email at support@kincorner.com or call (954) 242-5514 for a RAN.

To make a claim of product damaged upon arrival or of an item lost in transit, it must be communicated to us within 5 business days.

Product Quality Warranty: We warranty products against defects in workmanship for 1 year from purchase date. This includes seams and tears in cloth that are due to faulty materials and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear and/or abuse. Diamondback Armor USA llc reserves the right to determine whether product defect is in workmanship, materials, normal wear/tear or abuse. We will make every reasonable effort to make our customers happy. Remedies are set forth below:

    • Replacement of the product
    • Exchange for a similar product
    • Refund of sale price
    • Whole or partial credit for future purchases

What are the different levels of bulletproof protection?- There are pistol threats and rifle threats. Soft bullet resistant material stops pistol rounds and fragmentation but only a rigid rifle plate stops a rifle round. Level IIA, Level II and Level IIIA will stop the majority of pistol round plus 12 gauge and buckshot but no material is ever 100% ‘bulletproof’. The trade-off between protection, wear-ability and conceal-ability determines the level of protection and is a personal choice. The biggest difference between Levels is the amount of blunt trauma impact protection.

• Level IIA generally ~4 mm thick- Best if thinness, comfort and conceal-ability are the most important factors. May be worn for extended periods and allows for greater mobility. However, many prefer the extra blunt trauma protection from Level II or Level IIIA.
• Level II generally ~5 mm thick- Often worn by police officers and a balanced choice between blunt trauma protection, cost and thickness/conceal-ability/comfort. Recommend if concealment under light clothing is a priority.
  
• Level IIIA generally ~8 - 9 mm thick- Thicker, stiffer, heavier and more expensive but will stop more of the uncommon pistol threats. Tested for 9mm sub-machine gun and .44 magnum; plus it offers more blunt trauma impact protection.

What is the legality of purchasing/owning a bulletproof product?- Convicted felons may not be in possession of any body armor. Connecticut residents require a face-to-face transaction when buying (unless the buyer is a police officer, a police department, or member of the military). If you are a civilian, we will ship your product to a BulletBlocker dealer in Connecticut where you can pick it up.
